Premises based solutions
Some clients require that the full facilities and functions of their CRM solution be completely self contained withint the 'four walls' of their business. This is a very suitable option for business' with an existing Information Technology infrastructure, or for those that wish to take their first steps into IT independance. Premises based solutions are delivered in exactly the same way that hosted solutions are, except that the solution runs on your equipment, in your buildings, or in your chosen datacenters. It is possible with suitable access rights and authority to be able to install and configure all facets of a working system remotely.
It is also possible to install the CRM solutions so that they are available only from the confines of your local area network. This of course would dilute an inherent benefit of web based CRM solutions as they would no longer be visible from the internet. Remote staff, sales-employees or even management would find it incredibly difficult if not impossible to access the solution externally, say, whilst travelling. It is possible to make CRM solutions entirely visible from the public internet, but have them incredibly well controlled, with limited visibility and hard access, authorisation, firewalls both hard and soft to secure your vital business data. Another benefit of exposing elements of your CRM solution to the web is that you can have 'campaigns', for example, a customer 'contact us' form on your website so that inquiries entered by your potential clients which are completed on the Web are immediately available to you and your staff to follow-up on; and are even tracked as 'leads' in your CRM solution.
